Terms and Conditions – Shipsphere Courier
1. Introduction
Welcome to Shipsphere Courier. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully.
2. Services Provided
Shipsphere Courier provides package receiving, handling, and delivery services within Jamaica. We aim to ensure timely and efficient delivery; however, all services are subject to availability and operational conditions.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
Provide accurate and complete shipping information
Use correct names and contact details for package identification
Ensure all shipments comply with local laws and regulations
Pay all applicable fees, duties, and charges in full
Shipsphere Courier is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect information provided by the customer.
4. Prohibited Items
Customers must not ship:
Illegal items under Jamaican law
Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, or toxic substances)
Perishable goods without prior approval
Weapons or restricted items
Any prohibited items discovered may be confiscated and reported to the relevant authorities.
5. Package Handling & Liability
Shipsphere Courier will handle packages with care but is not liable for damages caused by:
Improper packaging by the sender
Manufacturer defects
Customs inspections or handling by third parties
Customers are encouraged to request insurance for high-value items
6. Delivery & Collection
Customers will be notified when packages are ready for pickup
A valid ID is required for collection
Authorized persons may collect on behalf of the customer if registered in advance
Uncollected packages may be subject to storage fees after a specified period
7. Fees & Payments
All shipping, handling, and storage fees must be paid before collection or delivery
Prices are subject to change without prior notice
Outstanding balances may result in delays or refusal of service
8. Delays
Shipsphere Courier is not responsible for delays caused by:
Customs clearance processes
Weather conditions
Airline or shipping carrier issues
Events beyond our control (force majeure)
9. Loss or Damage Claims
Claims must be reported within 48 hours of receiving the package
Supporting evidence (photos, receipts, invoices) may be required
Compensation, if applicable, will be assessed at the company’s discretion
10. Account Use
Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account
Any unauthorized use must be reported immediately
Shipsphere Courier reserves the right to suspend accounts for misuse
11. Privacy
Customer information will be kept confidential and used only for service-related purposes in accordance with our privacy practices.
12. Amendments
Shipsphere Courier reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of any changes.
13. Limitation of Liability
Shipsphere Courier’s liability is limited to the declared value of the package where applicable and does not include indirect or consequential losses.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Jamaica.

16. Storage Fees & Abandoned Packages
Customers are required to collect all packages within seven (7) days from the date the package is marked Ready for Pickup or the customer is otherwise notified of its availability.
Any package not collected within the initial seven (7) day period shall incur a storage fee of JMD $100.00 per day, commencing on the eighth (8th) day and continuing until the package is collected and all outstanding charges are paid in full.
All storage fees must be settled before the release of the package.
Any package that remains unclaimed for thirty (30) days from the date of notification shall be deemed abandoned.
Shipsphere Courier Services reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without further notice, to dispose of, discard, donate, auction, or otherwise handle any abandoned package for the purpose of recovering storage, shipping, customs, clearance, or administrative costs.
The customer agrees that the company shall bear no liability, obligation for compensation, or responsibility for any abandoned package after the expiration of the thirty (30) day period.
